Types of Cedar

Cedrus atlantica, the Atlas cedar, is a cedar native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco (Middle Atlas, High Atlas), to the Rif, and to the Tell Atlas in Algeria.

Cedrus brevifolia, the Cyprus cedar, is a species of conifer in the genus Cedrus. It is native to the Troödos Mountains of central Cyprus. It grows in the Pafos State Forest.

Cedrus libani, commonly known as the Cedar of Lebanon or Lebanon cedar, is a species of cedar native to the mountains of the Eastern Mediterranean basin. It is an evergreen conifer that can reach 40 m (130 ft) in height.

The Deodar cedar (Cedrus deodara) is an evergreen conifer tree that is favored for its weeping habit. It is often used as a specimen tree in parks and other large gardens and can also be used to line streets. This species is the national tree in Pakistan.
