The hammerhead shark uses its head to pin down stingrays and eats the ray when the ray is weak and in shock. The great hammerhead, tending to be larger and more aggressive than most hammerheads, occasionally engages in cannibalism, eating other hammerhead sharks, including its own young.

It is also called "maanhaar jackal" (Afrikaans for "mane jackal") or civet hyena, based on its habit of secreting substances from its anal gland, a characteristic shared with the civet. The aardwolf is in the same family as the hyena. Unlike many of its relatives in the order Carnivora, the aardwolf does not hunt large animals.

Jackals, Coyotes, and wolves are all part of the Canine family, AKA they are all a type of dog. While hyenas are not. Hyenas are their own species. They are more closely related to cats then dogs, and even more closely related to mongooses then anything. But they are in fact their own species.

The Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis), also known as the Komodo monitor, is a species of lizard found in the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang, and Padar. A member of the monitor lizard family Varanidae, it is the largest living species of lizard, growing to a maximum length of 3 metres (10 ft) in rare cases and weighing up to approximately 70 kilograms (150 lb).

Later research suggests that the marmorkrebs is an asexually reproducing form of the crayfish Procambarus fallax, which handles its baby-making in the ordinary way. How and why the asexually reproducing form arose is still a mystery.
