Cappuccino has variations that make use of more milk, such as the cappuccino chiaro, or white cappuccino, and the cappuccino scuro, or dry cappuccino. Cappuccino Freddo is the cold version of the coffee drink and is usually topped with small amount of cold, frothed milk.

Long black. A long black is made by pouring an espresso or ristretto over hot water. A long black is similar to an Americano, which is made by adding hot water to the espresso shot; but a long black retains the crema and is less voluminous, therefore more strongly flavored.

The Macchiato, also known as the Caffe Macchiato or Espresso Macchiato, has a bolder flavor than many other coffee drinks. It's comprised of a small amount of milk with a lot of espresso. Rather than thinking of ratios, it's easier to view the macchiatto as an espresso with a spot of milk in it.
