Types of Ocarinas

Inline ocarinas without thumb holes offer a range of 16 notes. Inline ocarinas with thumb holes offer a range of 18 to 19 notes. If you want an ocarina with a large range but also want something easier to play Inline ocarinas are the ocarinas for you.

Multi-chambered ocarinas are the most popular in either transverse double or triple designs, though there are a small few quadruple designs. There are a number of designs of double ocarinas which use the English Pendant cross-fingering style, though these are not nearly as popular as transverse multi-chambered ocarinas.

Because there is no real difference between a pendant ocarina or a peruvian ocarina simply because of the ammount of holes, because as I have said hundreds of times in this thread that transverse ocarinas also use different systems.
