Zohydro ER (hydrocodone) is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic. Zohydro ER is an extended-release form of hydrocodone that is used for around-the-clock treatment of severe pain. Extended-release hydrocodone is not for use on an as-needed basis for pain.

What other drugs will affect morphine (Avinza, Kadian, MS Contin, MSIR, Oramorph SR)? Do not take morphine with any other narcotic pain medications, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, or other medicines that can make you sleepy or slow your breathing.
Pain drugs that work in the same way as immediate-release oxycodone and OxyContin. These can increase your risk of side effects. Certain antibiotics (such as erythromycin), certain antifungal drugs (such as ketoconazole), certain heart drugs, certain seizure drugs, and certain HIV drugs.
