Types of Singing Voices
Voice is the sixth studio album of singer/songwriter Alison Moyet. It is a covers album, though not a typical one for a singer such as Moyet; the tracks chosen are slow-tempo, classic songs from a number of different genres, designed to showcase the singer's voice. A deluxe edition of 'Voice' was released by Cooking Vinyl on 2 October 2015.

Her voice is connected well through the registers and maintains its character throughout. Also has an emotive voice that communicates the songs subject exceptionally.

Krall’s style is a Canadian accent with excellent time and a voice that is inherently lovely. She is thirty-three now. She was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, a small city due west of Vancouver across the Strait of Georgia on Vancouver Island.
The American contralto, Eula Beal, was born in Riverside, California, where she got her start in music singing at the Redlands Bowl and in local competitions. She was well known in the classical music world in the 1940's.

The Marian Anderson Award was originally established in 1943 by Anderson after she was awarded the $10,000 Bok Prize that year by the city of Philadelphia. Anderson used the award money to establish a singing competition to help support young singers.
