Capellini is Italian for “little hair” Capelli means hair and the suffixes ‘ino’ or (pl) ‘ini’ means little. By contrast, the suffix ‘one’ or (pl) ‘oni’ means big. Angel hair is a version of capellini pasta with an English descriptor rather than an Italian one.
