The affordable sports car segment ranges from small and nimble (but not especially powerful) models like the Fiat 124 Spider, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota 86 to full bore muscle cars with potent V8 engines like the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, and Dodge Challenger. The Mazda MX-5 Miata fits in with the small and nimble group.

The Toyota Prius Liftback was entirely redesigned for the 2016 model year, and the plug-in hybrid Prius Prime followed for 2017. But the two other members of the Prius family, the subcompact Prius C and the larger Prius V wagon, have soldiered on as their sales dwindle.
