The baritone ukulele is the largest of the four classic sizes for the instrument, and is different in its tuning. Unlike the traditional GCEA of a concert ukulele, the baritone is tuned DGBE. If you're also into guitar, this tuning probably sounds familiar: it's the same as the top four strings of a six-string guitar.

This Kala holds its tune for days, great tone both plugged in and not. i like the satin finish. Had a Lanakai the was Glossy and looked beautiful but had high action and seemed to be sonically dead. maybe the heavy gloss has something to do with it. YOU cant go wrong with this uke.

I was looking for a good and affordable soprano ukulele and did some searches around the Internet. Two model were mentioned repeatedly, Lanikai LU-21 and Kala KA-S. I ended up with Lanikai, because this dealer provided also shipment to Europe, not many dealers did.
