Though recent laws have caused revenues to go down, the Yakuza will always exist. And if the LDP and gov officials were not colluding with the Yakuza, they would have been history long ago. The gov uses the Yakuza to do it's dirty work, i.e. silence liberal groups and promote conservatism. read more
