Ants do not die after biting as they do not lose any part of the body or get damaged. But in case of honey bees, they don't bite but they sting with the ovipositor (Posterior end of the abdomen). With the stinging their abdomen get damaged and so die soon.. read more
That said, since ants live mainly underground their sleep/rest tendencies differs from humans as they don't depend on photo period to determine sleep times but rather rest periods are based on the job of an individual in the colony, a worker ant gets more hours of rest daily than the soldier ant for obvious reasons. read more
