If looking for an apartment or house, an insurance company can tell you if you are in a flood zone. If you don’t see a creek nearby, and if you’re not in a flood zone or at a low point on your street, you are likely OK. Atlanta is somewhat hilly, so most areas are somewhat uphill from the flood areas. read more
