Is there any legal age to get a tattoo in India?

Tattoos are body art, mostly a permanent one. So they don't come with an age requirement. Girls as young as 3 go for (usually the parents take them for) an ear piercing. Whether legal or not 13 is not the mature enough age to start getting tattoos. Tattoos are permanent marks on the body and it is a lifetime commitment.
