Yes there is such a thing as falsetto. Mostly guys go into their falsetto but I've never heard a girl go into hers before. But it's pretty low. Jason DeRulo goes into his falsetto a lot. They are doing something VERY different between falsetto and head voice. In head voice, the cords remain in contact with one another.
