Is Warren Truss used for industrial building?

It is usually used for walkway trusses, crossovers and bridges. For roofs of industrial buildings, we need the top chord to be sloped. I have not seen the Warren truss shape used in Industrial buildings but theoretically there is no reason to prohibit it. Other shapes may be functionally more suitable. read more

The Warren truss has equal length compression and tension web members, and fewer members than a Pratt truss. A modified Warren truss may be adopted where additional members are introduced to provide a node at (for example) purlin locations. Warren trusses are commonly used in long span buildings ranging from 20 to 100 m in span. This type of truss is also used for the horizontal truss of gantry/crane girders. read more
