If so a large Nile croc wouldn’t struggle to nommy on down. Nor a large shark if el gorilla went surfing and fell in. Lions are probably going to be a low-likelihood meetup IRL. Perhaps occasionally at the interface between savanna and forest. A pack of lions wouldn’t have any problems with a lone gorilla. read more

Since gorillas live in tropical climates, their remains quickly disappear, consumed by scavengers and insects. On one occasion, the remains of a western lowland gorilla killed by a leopard in Gabon were entirely devoured after 3 or 4 days.
