What do Chileans think of Peruvians?

Chilean here too! I don't hate Peruvians AT ALL. You guys are our brother country. Same with Argentina and Bolivia. I think some people say so, just to get attention or keep things spicy. Peruvian food has already a big fan base in Chile and every city has a Peruvian restaurant. They are overrreactive of almost anything about Chile: from border disputes to brand names. Like Chileans, Peruvians are hardworking and very patriotic. read more

Best Answer: It has nothing to do with Chile's economic situation. I don't think Peruvians hate Chileans but there is some anger over the War of the Pacific. Chile took land from Peru and (according to the Peruvians) promised to return it and never did. The Bolivians feel even more strongly about the issue than the Peruvians. read more

As a chilean always find amusing how is like they always are talking about us, there is a peruvian newspaper called La Razon or something like that and they are always bragging about the peruvian army and that they are so ready to fight us and stuff, you won’t find any chilean newspaper like that. read more
