A cross-species mating between a zoo-surplus sand cat tom and a domestic queen resulted in some kittens referred to as “Marguerites” which seem to be friendly like their mother rather than shy like their father; but I sincerely doubt they’ll be available to the public in the near future. read more
I imagine it would be hard living with the knowledge that I was abusing such an adorable wild animal by forcing it to live alone and in a completely unsuitable environment. read more
I have included a link to some information on the cats, but if you like the idea of having a pet that has a similar look or mannerisms to a wild cat then look at bengals, ocicats, or pixie-bobs. Wild animals, even if bred in captivity, do not adapt well to life as a pet. read more
