It is funny what people consider Upstate NY, I live in a suburb of Rochester NY so to me Albany is not Upstate, it is Downstate. The area I live is actually nice, Fairport is a little village on the Erie Canal , it is rather quaint with an actual Main Street in the middle of town. read more
