What to serve with hot beef sandwiches?

At a party at my house, I am serving hot roast beef sandwiches au jus and sausage and peppers on long rolls. I am looking for some interesting sides. Recipes or links would be helpful. read more

Hosting a party this weekend, and have decided to go with hot roast beef and hot turkey sanwiches. Was planning on easy sides (potato salad, etc.), but the SO has madated that these are "sumertime BBQ sides", and not winter fare. read more

On deli rye bread or sourdough. On top of the roast beef I add thinly sliced red onions, thickly sliced tomatoes and romaine lettuce (never iceberg). Then, the top slice of bread gets a generous portion of Russian dressing. Not so much that it oozes out the sides of the sandwich, but enough that it can compete with and complement the beef and bread. read more
