For one thing, foxes happen to be generally smaller in overall size and have smaller and flatter skulls. The overall shape of a fox's face also happens to be more triangular as opposed to a wolf's broad shaped, blunt snout. A fox's ears are pointed unlike a wolf's more rounded ears.
