Dirk in prime was "average-good" on defense. He was never stellar, and, yes, KG was elite, but people here are way overstating how much better on D prime KG was than prime Dirk by saying Dirk was a bad defender. read more
While KG is the better point forward, Dirk is an underrated passer and ball-handler who could shoot from anywhere on the court and also drive to the basket (in his prime). All these stats don't how Dirk spreads the floor, too. read more
