Why did the Jewish people scatter all over the world?

After they destroyed the second temple, the Romans gave up even the illusion of a puppet state, and many of the Jews simply left for less dismal conditions, all over Europe, North Africa and Asia. They got it back after the United Kingdom left what is now Israel, and the resident Jewish population defeated the Arabs in a series of wars. read more

The Romans decimated the Jewish population and destroyed the second Temple in 70 CE and exiled most of the Jews (not all - we know that at least some remained in Yavneh and a few isolated places). They were not the only nation to be scattered all over the Earth. One of the reasons was the collapse of the Jewish state which led to the exodus. Jews were never restricted to one location, and travelled freely throughout the world. Common language and a culture of tribal trust gave them an advantage as merchants in foreign lands, so they often became involved in international commerce. read more

Jews immigrated there from Central Europe from the 1300's to the 1400's. and from Poland from the 1500's to 1600's. Massacres of Jews then took place. to the 1700's. Hasidic movements sprang up in the 1700's. Zionism took place here from 1800 to 1900's. People moved in here from Galicia and White Russia. read more
