Portland's transit system seems better because it's smaller. A LOT smaller. When most people think of Seattle's "transit system," they're thinking about Seattle City Metro, the county's Sound Transit busses and rail, the monorail, the Community Transit busses, the Washington State Ferries, and perhaps the Lake Union trolley. read more

And I find Seattle transit to be better than Portland. Sure, you have fancy trains, but they are slow and many parts are served very in frequently. I think Seattles system is often perceived as being worse than it actual is because it features so few trains. read more
