Every country will get rid of absolute monarchy eventually. It’s just a matter of time. The Melayu Islam Beraja (Malay Islamic Monarchy) of Brunei has been serving the country well and may last a few more generations, but ultimately it will be overthrown. read more

I can't understand why Britain clings to the monarchy. I guess it has to do with tradition. Maybe having a King and Queen reminds people of the old days when Britain ruled the seas, along with much of the world's land mass. read more
