No, they can't. It's never been proven, anywhere, in the entire history of medicine. The forces that a woman exerts are 1.) below the ribcage and 2.) pointing down, not out. While my ribs were only bruised, my ob/gyn and I had a few chats about previous patients who had their bottom ribs broken.
