Fish need to sleep like any other animal, most lay under coverage on the bottom of the tank to sleep. My Bettas all lay down under their planted driftwood for bedtime while my Tetras do a sort of “still swimming”, they don't move but still float. Fish like zebra Danios, tetra fish varieties, Guppies and Mollies like to swim in groups. They do this to avoid predation by larger carnivorous fish like Cichlids. Being in large group will help them will intimidate the larger fish and also the fish will find it hard to target on a specific fish. read more
