Rereading the question a molten/melted ice cream doesn't sound correct either. Generally ice cream is a mass noun. I would write I'm eating ice cream and not a I'm eating an ice cream. Another example would be I have chocolate vanilla or vanilla ice cream and not ice creams. read more
