Practically everyone speaks English in Norway, so learning Norwegian is not necessary. Unless I were planning to stay in Norway after finishing my studies, I wouldn't go through the trouble of learning the language; I'd rather invest more time and energy in my studies. read more

Learning norwegian, or a bit of it before going on a week long vacation to norway for your own amusement, to learn the basics of grammar and thought patterns, to be able to dechiffer roadsigns, names and some words is very useful. read more
