Learning guitar is much more rewarding than learning drums. It's more impressive, and you can take it around and use it more. Playing songs on guitar sounds alot better. Guitars are also cheaper generally. If you want to learn something fast and not do too much work, learn drums. read more
I play both. Guitar 20 years and drums on and off for 16 years but I've only had a kit for the last 5 years. Before that it was always our drummers kit in rehearsal rooms. Both instruments are challenging and rewarding. I would say that to become a remarkable guitar player is more difficult. read more
That alone qualifies the guitar as the more difficult instrument. There are more reasons, but not necessary. I play both drums and guitar. Guitar was much harder to learn. read more
