Solar is being added to office buildings, warehouses, factories, retail stores and all sorts of buildings. You simply can't see them from the ground. Many flat-roofed buildings have parapet walls which block the view of the roof from the ground. read more

I’ll add two more thoughts to GT’s answer. Panels need to be attached to roofs, and warehouses have flat roofs and water sits on flat roofs, and penetrations in flat roofs make building owners nervous. The alternative to penetrations is weighted-systems, and a fair number of building owners don’t like that idea either. read more
